Three young women, 14 years of age, attending a Catholic School in Havana, Cuba, promised each other to remain friends forever. However after 1959 when the Fidel Castro Regime took over as the new government, the lives of these three women took a different course. Julieta went to Mexico, Graciela went to Canada and then to the United States and Estelita remained in Cuba for the rest of her life. The were never able to co-exist together but they managed to stay friends
throughout their lives. Graciela is the only survivor at this time.
